Lindley Wiesner: Bringing Whimsy, Nostalgia, and Playful Charm to Life
Lindley Wiesner is a children’s book illustrator and surface designer whose art blends nostalgia, family memories, and a love of animals—especially dogs—with a touch of holiday magic. Growing up as a triplet in the Chicago suburbs, Lindley was surrounded by creativity, thanks to her artistic grandmothers and parents who filled her childhood with arts and crafts. Their influence, along with the whimsical worlds of her favorite illustrators, continues to shape her work today.
After honing her skills at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia, Lindley now works from her cozy studio in Washington, D.C. Her creative space is a reflection of her vibrant personality—filled with books, framed photos, colorful design collections, and playful printmaking experiments. Crochet animals made by her mom and other cherished keepsakes add warmth and inspiration to her studio, creating the perfect atmosphere for bringing her charming characters to life.
Lindley’s illustrations are known for their wit, wonder, and whimsical style, drawing inspiration from her childhood memories, furry companions, and her passion for holidays—especially Christmas. Beyond illustration, she enjoys hands-on projects like embroidery, screen printing, and cooking, finding joy in both artistic expression and everyday creativity.
Whether she’s creating delightful designs for children’s books, surface patterns, or seasonal artwork, Lindley’s goal is to bring a smile to anyone who sees her work. If you're looking for illustrations filled with heart and imagination, Lindley is ready to help bring your story to life!
