Deborah Revell: Weaving Stories of Nature and Adventure Through Art

Deborah Revell’s artistic journey began with a Hasselblad camera gifted by her great-uncle George—a cherished companion as she traveled the world in her twenties. Settling in San Francisco, she became a best-selling artist for Chronicle Books, with her work licensed across a range of products, from stationery and wall art to soft furnishings.

Her creative path later led her to Vermont and a transformative artist residency in France. Now based in Devon, UK, Deborah draws inspiration from the rhythmic waves and dramatic coastal scenery surrounding her home. Her studio—tucked behind a local yoga studio—serves as a sanctuary where photography meets fresco, resulting in artworks that capture nature’s beauty woven into linen. Each piece reflects her deep connection to the natural world, telling stories that resonate with warmth and wonder.

Beyond her art, Deborah embraces a life filled with simple joys. Known among friends as one of the “Torcross Mermaids,” she delights in swimming and laughing by the sea, fishing with her partner Rob, and exploring the world with her children. As she dreams of her next adventure, Deborah’s life and art remain beautifully intertwined—each a celebration of nature, creativity, and the joy of shared experiences.
